Anyone making decent money with Amazon aStore?

I'm asking this question because I gave up on the Amazon affiliate program. I had their aStore on my site for about 6 months, and only made $12 for 12 products sold. The referral rate is also very low, 4%. Most people go directly to amazon anyways if they want to buy something, they do not bother clicking on links in the aStore. Also, there are 1,000s of Amazon stores on the Web for each niche, so people get bored looking at the same stuff over and over again. This is why I removed it from my site and replaced with some other feature as it was just sitting there and taking up my link space in my menu. Is anyone still making any decent money with this program?

You made the right decision. I also quit astore after having a terrible time promoting them. They hardly convert or rank well due to duplicate content.

I sill am promoting amazon products via direct linking from various other sites.

Astore isn't working for me as well. Did you try direct link building or using a revenue sharing program Hubpages where you can build Amazon capsules related to your articles?

I too had two stores but no sales at all! When every blog puts amazon links who will be interested to click on those banners or product clouds?

Myself, I never clicked on a single banner on others' blogs.

Some people work with some niche products and get some buyers who like to help as in anyway they will be buying the product.

I have talked with others on some forums on their buying habits and buying from an astore. A few said, they will buy if they like the product very much.

So I guess it is about choosing products that are unique and useful, that is going to help Amazon Associates.

That's because astores are hardly ever built right. Instead, use widgets placed onto each of your pages to see results. I'm becoming more and more successful with this style of using Amazon.

I get 2 payment already and all from my astore. I just afraid that Amazon US will follow Amazon UK policy.

I think due to some changes in policy of amazon, many affiliater have lost their source of earning via amazon associate programme..
