I have been spending a lot of time looking through forums and blogs for info on how to get myself an .edu blog.

Anyone have tips? Mind to share?

I am willing to pay for the information.

I don't think there is much difference between a edu and other extensions like com, net, co.uk etc

Try this search in google. Replace “your keyword or phrase” with your keyword or phrase:D
site:.edu inurl:blog “your keyword or phrase”

although geopoint has written the right query, you may go for it. Also here on DP itself lot of sellers who used to sell a good quantity of .edu blogs accepting the comment, you may contact them too.

It's very easy to find .edu blogs. Just search on google for following and you will come across hundred of thousand of .edu blogs where you can post comments and build quality backlinks. But BEWARE OF SPAM COMMENTING.

1- site:.edu inurl:blog "login or register to post comments" "Your keyword here"

    2- student blog topic site:.edu

3- site.edu inurl:blog "you must be login to post comments

This is how you can found .edu blogs. I use the exact method to find .edu blogs to get becklinks for my website. Hop I have helped you.

Depends on your comment. I find if I try to use anchor text it is a bit more difficult, however using my first name and really trying to remember what it was like to be 19 and a freshman in college gets a lot of my comments approved.

I just use the site http://dropmylink.com. It has several of those google queries built in, including one to find .edu blogs.
