Ive seen that vB actually sells these on there site for $110 if you buy 50+ lisense at once. so maybe someone is selling for cheaper?

So i was wondering if anyone had any for sale?Maybe if you already have one you don't want any more.

I really want a vB forum(and will be adding loads of mods to it), but i don't want to spend $210 on a lisence.

You can checkout the other webmaster forums like v7n Or Ozzu. This is not allowed here at DP otherwise you will get that in a minute :D

Having an illegal copy of VBulletin could work against you in the long run. I suggest you use SMF first. It's free and as powerful as VBulletin. When your site is already big, then you may switch your database to a VBulletin-powered site.

PHPbb would be seconded to VB, not smf in my opinion.

I think PhpBB is a nice FREE alternative to vBulletin, jmo. There are a lot of mods for it, so you might be able to get close to vB in functionality.

PHPBB is too easy to attack. Many of my friends using this and they complain about being hacked. VB is the best and safest one.

    Anyway, you said this :

The underlined means : You don't want to pay the price of making a great forums.

I haven't heard of an SMF-powered site being hacked. One time I installed a PhpBB site. I left it for a month. The next time I checked it, thousands upon thousands of SPAM posts had desecrated the site.

I tried SMF and left it for 5 months. When I came back, no SPAM post was found.

    Definitely, SMF rules.
