Anyone know of a good free ad tracking script?

I am running some ads for my site. I want to be able to tell how much traffic each one is sending to my site. It would be great if I could give them a link like http://www.thedomain.com?ref=1, http://www.thedomain.com?ref=2...

    1 = Site A

So then I could tell how many times this URL was visited.

Are there any free scripts to do this?

    Thanks,
    Andy

Did you read my post? I am running some banner ads on some sites and I would like to track the hits I am getting. This has nothing to do with spamming.

    Thanks,
    Andy

    Andy,

I use TrackThatAd.com to for tracking clicks.
Here is an example url that you might want to track
    http://www.grinteam.com/?8133/
You simply enter that url into the TrackThatAd.com site and it will give you all of these options to use:
    http://2-b.us/?i=141928/
    http://a--b--c.com/?i=141928/
    http://y--e--s.com/?i=141928/
    http://w--o--w.com/?i=141928/
    http://just-visit.us/?i=141928/
    http://here-is-more.info/?i=141928/
    http://follow4more.info/?i=141928/
    http://click-here-4.info/?i=141928/
    http://trackthatad.com/?i=141928/

You also have the ability to add anything you would like to the end of any of the urls above.
    Examples: http://trackthatad.com/?i=141928/1 and http://trackthatad.com/?i=141928/2
    or even http://trackthatad.com/?i=141928/banner - http://trackthatad.com/?i=141928/textad

There is also a section in TrackThatAd.com that tells you how you can setup a redirect from your own domain to one of the trackable links above.
    So you could have: http://thedomain.com/ref/1 - http://thedomain.com/ref/2 - etc.

TrackThatAd is really a link cloaking tool with tracking features plus much more.
It can give you more than just a count. It can show you the users IP, browser type, and date/timestamp when they clicked.

You can join for free from here: http://www.trackthatad.com/?s=87354

    Hope this helps!

    Thanks,
    Don Keeting
