Anyone know my site goes from 500 to 4

For the past 30 days
my site which is pr2 and not in the top 500
goes to #4 for a very hard to rank key phrase.
This happens everyday for about 2 hours then disapears.
Also does not show up in any datacenter.
Whats going on?

 

this is normal behavior. No one will give you a definite answer

I was wondering, do you use a specific time notation in a sitemap ?

This is typical with Google, your rank will vary throughout the day.

I would be happy with the rank for the two hours you have it and just continue attempting at keeping that rank.

 

That's great that you rank #4 for a few hours a day, I think this happens
when google is tweaking their algorithm.

 

I have few posts sometime they appear in 1st position but in few hours they run away to 3rd page . This is because of extra keywords added in search terms . Always check what users searched that you got 4th position .

 

Pretty good time for you to build quality links, make your site cached/indexed more often so you could secure that high position on serp.
