Anyone know how to make paid links pay before submission on PHPLD?

    Looking for a mod...

I have a free web directory but do paid links also for featured and express. Getting a lot of d;ck-heads submitting to the paid links and not paying. Its pretty stupid actually because they have NO SHOT of getting in doing that.

Apparently all you do right now is fill out the form correctly and submit-- when you get the paypal button you just leave... the submission already went through. It seems kinda backwards.

Anyway, is there a mod to make them pay first or at some point before the form is submitted? Or otherwise block submissions to paid links if they are not paid for? -- or something like that.

I think at least one person who has been here in the past has got that set up on their directory, i dont think its a mod, i think it works by not letting a submission reach the database unless payment is made, like you dont end up seeing it and having that frustration, try asking at their forum.

My directory has done the same thing, it reached the database before payment and its really annoying. I switched to another directory script.

VMOptions uses advanced level spam filtering. It's good for banning the spammers. If you need some info, PM me. Granted the solution is not "cheap," but when you consider what your time is worth it is easier to spend the money upfront rather then in wasted labor.
