Anyone know an alternative to smart update pinger for WP?

    Hey guys,

    I built a blog recently and was told to use the smartupdatepinger plugin, which I've been using. I noticed today though that when I go into it all of the pings are being returned with errors and timeouts etc.

    Does anyone know a good alternative to this or is it best to stick with the regular wp auto pinging system?

    Never use a Automatic pinger. This may result in banning of your blog by Search Engines like Google or Yahoo.
    Always do pinging manually from Pinging sites like Pingomatic. :)

    I just stick with the default which should be pining pingomatic anyway. You really don't need anything else.
