Anyone know about this directory script?

    Yet Another Link Directory (YALD)

    http://yald.eotz.com/

I was thinking of installing this script. Has anybody ever heard of it? Is it any good? Is it search engine friendly?

    Thanks.

My apologies if I sound like a spammer. I am not the owner of the script. However, I do want to install it and I want some feedback as to whether it is any good. I dont' want to put all the time into customizing and adding to the directory only to find out it sucks, and it is not search engine friendly.

Any feedback would be GREATLY appeciated.

    Thanks.

That script is unknown to me. I think its best if you go for a well-known directory script with support such as phpLD or phpLynx.

It looks a load of crap with less features than the mole on my bum, but hey if it rocks your boat go use it. ;)

I would not recommend this directory script at all, having a look at the adminCP and the overall look of the directory, I would prefer not to choose such a script. I feel it lacks tons of features, and you would be better of with a few more well-known directory scripts.

Yep, phpLynx is a good place to start but guaranteed you''ll get a zillion phpld fans saying different. Your call though. :)

The forums look awful empty at http://yald.eotz.com/. To me that always means no go. Not necessarily fair to the script, just how I react.

I have really only used two, phpLD and eSyndicat. Both are in free and paid versions. Either one is a good script that should be able to get you going.

    Thanks for the feedback everyone.

Looks like phpLD is very popular, and so I might go with this one instead.

    Thanks again.

Busy forums usually mean lots of problems, I'd take a quiet forum with very little worried cries for help as a good thing.
