anyone join Godaddy's "discount domains club"?

I got a phone message today from a Godaddy rep who noticed that I have over 50 domains, and it would be in my best interest to join their "discount domain club"...and by doing so, my .com renewals would cost only $6.40/year instead of what they go for now.

Is anyone a member of this, and what's the catch? I'm guessing it's going to be an annual charge?

what??!! how the hell is that supposed to save me money?

I should figure out the savings per domain vs. that annual fee, why do I have a feeling the latter is going to be the larger number....

I think with some godaddy coupons, you get the domain for $6.95 anyways...so yes, you probably save the extra .50 cents. Only good if you are register 190 domains in a year to cover the annual fee.

I asked if I could use the coupon on top of that price, I wonder if it would even work?

My biggest problem is that all of these domains expire at completely different dates throughout the whole year, I need to find a way to get them to expire at the same time....

I have to agree, coupons might save you more $$$. If there is a fee ($89 is a lot) for 50 domains.. you're better off not signing up for the club.

I got a response for Godaddy...it is $89, and you're not allowed to use coupons anymore if you join. So, forget it... however, they do have a service that lets your domains renew at the same time.

Not anymore... and that was 7.15$ by the way including 20cent fee. Now domains go for much higher and with the same coupons they would go for 8.19$
