Hi guys, I am thinking of writing an e-book focusing on Texas holdem. It could be used for both live and internet poker. I am 21 years old, and have played poker online since the age of 17. I played play chips and free rolls up until age 18. At age 18 I began playing cash games and tournaments. For the last 3.5 years I have been playing mostly cash games. This has been like a part time job (while going to school). I have made tens of thousands of dollars playing online at very low stakes, simply by playing a few hours of poker every few days. I feel I have the ability to teach people how to make maybe $20k, $30k, or even $50k a year simply by playing poker. Or at the very least, turn a bad player into a much better player. I know poker has really died down over the last two years, and was wondering: how many ppl would be interested? how much a 30 or 40 page e-book w/ resell rights would be worth? how much a 60 or 80 page e-book w/ resell rights would be worth? One thing I would not do is: put out a piece of garbage to make a quick buck. I would not rick my reputation (amongst poker forums and poker sites), nor would I waste my own time (or the readers) by putting out a book that has: old outdated strategy fundamental strategy and no medium or advanced strategy copied strategy from other books losing strategy Anyway, this is just a thought at the moment, and If it gains interest, I will likely get started, and hoped to have it ready w/ in a few months (maybe sooner? who knows)
A book with resell rights is very cheap. You can't afford a high price because people will immediately sell it for less than you offer. An exclusive book would get you more money a.k.a. ghostwriting. Looking about about 3-400 bucks if you sell in the right place. Why not just write and sell your own book on Clickbank instead?
thanks for the tips, im a noob to all this money making stuff, so I had no idea! I guess selling it myself will prolly be the best option
The days of the ebook are numbered. Too many scams and rip offs. In my opinion they have had their day. If you have really good knowledge you would be better off having a paid membership website and dish out tips and stuff from that. Regards JohnT
yah, I have been planning to make one for about 6 months now. unfortunately I have had a difficult time figuring out who to hire and for how much. I know nothing about programming and coding so I am trying to make sure I don't get ripped off.
