I am very much interested on this one, just pm me alex for the info of the forum so that we can start talking ideas and other stuff there... let's cooperate!
I would like to participate! I am pretty new to Internet marketing but not new to marketing. I am interested in anything related to IM, but most of all how to be successful promoting a web site. I have read a lot of advice from the experts, such as "don't buy traffic", "concentrate on PPC advertising" but so far my experience has been: 1) Free promotion (building backlinks, SEO, etc.) = very little traffic 2) PPC = If I set the bid low or it's not a common keyword, budget doesn't get spent, no visitors. If I set the bid high enough or use a more general keyword, budget gets spent, I pay out more than I make in sales. Experts suggest revising my site if that's the case. I have improved the site. Same result. PPC payout is higher than what I made in sales. This is the kind of stuff I am interested in -- how to get this right. Mark.
I gave you a wrong link Russell that's my mistake but I believe I corrected it sending you a new msg.
Hi guys, I need help trying to figure this out... how do you track results from advertising? Say you have some traffic coming in from search engines and a link exchange and also doing PPC and all the traffic is hitting your home page. How can you tell how many orders were generated by link exchange or search engine traffic and how many were generated from PPC traffic? This is without installing the special code that Google gives you. I know I can tell how many VISITORS are coming from each location (from the log file). I am talking about "traffic quality" or what traffic sources actually generated orders. Thanks!
As my boss (the CEO) would say: "Has this project gone south or what?" If not, please advise on where "cooperation" is taking place
