Anyone hit rencently by Google or Yahoo?

I am very concerned about using Co-op rencently.

I have got one my website banned in yahoo, it will only show by "mywebsitename.com" and No.187 on "mywebsitename", it has good ranking during the first several weeks, then suddenly drop to nowhere.

I did some link exchanges, bought PR3-PR8 links for this website.

Rencently one my main website got hit in google, and today it has lost all rankings, I believe it benefited from co-op before and got many good rankings, but in rencent google update, it does not even show on the first several pages when checking "allinanchor:keyword". Before I use co-op on it , it has very good ranking in Yahoo, now not very good, but still ok in Yahoo.
This website is PR5, has many PR2-PR8 links

Another similar website using co-op for several months, today I found it lost good rankings too, its yahoo ranking dropped weeks before, I only did link exchanges with revelant websites, and we had many high PR backlinks, current Pagerank is 6.

Our biggest PR 7 website got hit too, it has excellent ranking for around 3 years, I use co-op to boost some small keywords and did have good result for sometime. Now ranking drop from No.6 to No.40 on a very competitive keyword.

From my experiences, I am leaning towards not using co-op or linkvalut anymore, I use around 10k-20k weight for each website, using at least 20 keywords to different pages.

We all know co-op should not be the only method to promote a website, and in my case, it isn't, we also do link exchanges, purchasing oneway links, and we got some free oneway links too.

Anyone still got stable ranking using co-op for competitive market?

Because it's not about co-op, it's about ranking of your site.

I very much doubt that your problem is the Coop.

I have a friend who had a site delisted that was using coop.

The problem was he was ranking #1 for all these terms but his site was completely scrap and duplicate content.

Make sure your site isn't playing no games cause SERIOUSLY google will drop you in a heartbeat when you rank for monster terms.

Google confirmed rencently update is "Some changes do try to decrease spam or increase core quality."
    http://www.mattcutts.com/blog/more-info-on-updates/

CO-OP seems not safe now, I believe google has considered it a spam technique .

This is not I have been expected, please prove I am wrong.

I've noticed that when google tries to "decrease spam" it does the exact opposite. Just takes them a while to realize it.

i think you are right. Yahoo definately doesnt like coop, the number of links your site has go up faster than normal because they are rotating. Google i think may have done something similar

I think there should be a poll:
site hammered, site has used coop or linkvault or similar
site hammered, site has never used coop or linkvault or similar
site not affected, site has used coop or linkvault or similar
site not affected, site has never used coop or linkvault or similar

what is "used"? displayed ads? or have had ads link to them? both? currently? more than a month ago (no longer showing and/or linking)? more than 2 months ago (no longer showing and/or linking)? its too deep a question.

There already are polls like that going.

It's not the coop. There have been about 8 million reasons posted why it isn't the root cause of thr serp changes people are seeing.

There's an update going on - sit back and relax until it's over.

BTW, there are thousands of coop sites doing just fine in Yahoo.

In order to evaluate anything accurately you do.

I've been pointing coop weight at Google.com for months - they seem to be doing just fine.

Still sitting at #1 (more than a year now).

edit: of course the coop is not even close to the only form of site promotion I use.

Post something in the website reviews section of the forum and have people take a look.

Whenever there is a shakeup in the SERPS or someone drops out or is banned the co-op is always blamed, guess it's just easier to blame something that's visible even though they can't prove it, than it is to actually figure out what the cause actually is.

The FOURTH time I've seen this quoted or cited today on DP. I'll tell you what, folks... if there is anyone left on the this forum who has NOT read this already, please just PM me and I'll send you a copy. To everyone else: Okay - we get it - we got it - we've memorized it. Please don't submit any more posts about this damn blog. It doesn't tell ANYONE anything we didn't already know and it does it in terms so vague almost anyone of us could have been at least a smidgen more specific.

You're wrong. Coop isn't being penalized. I have it on two sites that haven't been touched by this update.
