like weight training? i've been doing it for about 7 years now. Been slacking a bit over the last few months, but i plan on hitting the weights hard again soon.
I used to work out every day. I think I've gone six times since January. But I still pay my $100 dues every month. I keep telling myself that I should start going...but I'm too damn lazy. Luckily I play some sports so I'm not a total BLOB!
12 oz power lifts every night. I thought owning a fitness club card to be cool went out in the 80's? I guess vanity will always sell!
Thanks! That makes me not the only one forking out loads for an expensive service never used. I'm thinking of cancelling my membership since it's getting warmer hence time for wakeboarding which beats all training I ever done.
Do you have pictures of your progress? My boyfriend is, you could see the difference after just 2 weeks, he's been doing it for 3 months now.
Everyday pumping iron in the gym baby My routine includes computer followed by gym and I'v been working out for 2.2 years now with a great diet
I can't stand going to the gym anymore. I am on the Herschel Walker plan. Push-ups and sit-ups every day. I used to cycle 5+ days a week until I moved to San Francisco and got too lazy to ride up the hills to get home...well, that is my excuse anyway.
I've been blessed with the body of a greek god, so exercising isn't necesarry. hah!! yeah right - I used to exercise and lift weights like CRAZEY - right up until I graduated high school - I stayed trim and fit, and even packed on more muscle right up until I got married almost 6 years ago - it was all down hill from there. My poor wife, I often joke that she's not liable for the 60lbs that she didn't marry. hah My 'exercise' consists of carrying our 3 month old (12-13lbs) and 2.3yr old (30lbs) and chasing around our 5 yr old. Other than that I don't move a whole lot - how pathetic is that. I always said I'd never be one of those guys who did that to his wife - but I did - I've gone soft She on the other hand looks fantastic even after 3 babies - albeit a bit 'thicker in the hips'
Just at home, situps, pushups, some bench, etc... Lifting kids does count I have a few of them dumbells - err kids around from 16lbs, 40lbs, 70, 80, and about 130. good for curls, etc.... They love it when I throw them around. Some times I use 2 of them for the legs walking around with them sitting on them they both weigh about 40lbs (1 is 5 and the other 7 (tiny 7yrold))
ya i started working out again in feb 2005 after 10yr of car accidents(NEVER my fault) and back and neck pain im all better and working out 2x a week working on that.. want to get to 4-5 and loose my spair tire
I respect people who are able to commit and raise a family. It speaks very well since it is a lot of hard work and you have to make many personal sacrifices.
I've never joined a gym; workout is from home. I follow a body building routine (joyce vedral - 12 minute workout) that my dead grandma could follow better than I can. (I use it because you can see results in 3 weeks-instant gratification, kinda) I do one set: rest for 5 minutes. Drink water. Cuss. Do another set: rest 5 minutes. Drink water. Cuss more and wonder why I was born intelligent instead of beautiful. Do the third set. Smoke a cigarette, pee, and refill water. Cuss. Swear to myself I'll never do it again. And so it goes for the other 2 sets. Effectively stretching a 12 minute workout to an hour.
I used to work out like insane about five years ago using Dorian Yate's 4 days a week schedual. Would go in 4 times a week for only 40 minutes and lift a tun, targetting each body-part just once per week. The pain would persist till the same day of the following week. Results were rapid. This was like five years ago, and I need to get back in there!
Been running like crazy for the past few months. I want to try my hand at one of them adventure races--like a triathalon in the woods.
Oh yes, you're dam'n straight it does!! My 4-year old insists on running all the way to and from kindergarden whilst I have to carry the 2-year old (and lunch boxes and extra clothes and bags and...) and keep up And believe me, a 4-year old can run pretty fast when - as in this case - he loves to run more than anything. No, I don't have the energy to go exercising all that much... dreaming of doing the marathon some time again, but my guess is I'll do it when the kids are teenagers
I used to work out so much but then it all stopped. Don't really know why, once I left highschool and entered the work force, all I remember is coming home from work and being way too tired to even THINK about working out.
