Was wondering of doing a few gigs on Fiverr, anyone here selling (successfully) on Fiverr? Is it worth selling there at all?

Yes, I'am on Fiverr and probably sell around 5 Gigs a month. It's an alright platform to sell on and great for beginners. SEO/Web Design/Marketing services or gigs tend to do very well.

Nowadays, I don't sell on Fiverr, I use it to purchase services which I resell for a higher price. That's how I earn my main income online. Fiverr is a great place to do business, but it's not as easy as it sounds. You need to work hard to get the results you're looking for.

    Regards,

It can absolutely be worth it to sell on Fiverr, as long as you sell the kind of gigs that sell out fast. Once you've gotten past your first 5 & you get up to level 1, that's when sales start growing exponentially.

What type of things would you be looking to sell?

Fiverr is a great marketplace if you have something original or high quality to market. Most of the things on Fiverr are duplicates of each other. Unfortunately, Fiverr doesn't use their own payment processing system or I would give them much more business.

Selling on Fiverr is a great experience. But the tough part on Fiverr is getting enough clients to get going. I am present on Fiverr and initially I have done lots of business but these days I am just busy catching high paying clients outside fiverr, hence I have reduced my service there.

But if you people are still taking Fiverr seriously and quite happy with $5 gigs then I would like to help you out getting more business strategies from my own experience.

How I have grabbed lots of business on Fiverr?

Sharing with you some of the simple strategies that has worked for me and still working for lots of other seller on Fiverr.
    1. Creating short but effective profile on Fiverr works a lot in giving you proper exposure on Fiverr. So, while writing your BIO, please take care about How you are presenting yourself before the Fiverr world. Please keep in mind that 90% of potential new clients not only check out your gig rating but also love to check out your Bio that you have written. If your Bio will convince them as someone they can trust then they will come back to you again and again else they may take your service only when there is emergency on your part.
    2. Always use the keywords wisely in your Gig title and Gig description and Tags. These keywords play a great role in getting more exposure to your gigs when the clients are searching for related services through search box on Fiverr
    3. Don't underestimate the image. Use proper image as they attract the clients attention and help you sell your gigs.
    4. The most important part about the image is before uploading the image use a good and related title for it. Do you know that images on Fiverr appears on Google image search and lots of sellers on Fiverr succeed in selling their gigs just because they have used related image and good image title utilizing related keywords for the image.
    5. Always try to apply for most of the Gig Request related to your niche that appears randomly on the right hand side of the Fiverr panel. This will help you coming in contact of potential new clients. Even if most of them will not reply your request but their contact will get store in your inbox. Try to ping them occasionally and ask them if they need any of your service. You may grab some good clients from this section and who knows that they may promote your profile to their friends and families.
    6. While submitting any project, write a message to the client that you would like to offer some good discount if they place big order next time. This will help you attract the client's attention and they may likely to get converted to your repeated client.
There are lots and lots of other successful strategies that I have kept trying to get handful of orders on Fiverr.

If you have any other queries about Fiverr, feel free to ask me.. I would love to share my experience and knowledge to help you people out here.

Thanks in advance for reading my own experience.

Fiverr is a great site, the only thing I would say is be careful of what service you offer...

I am a writer and at one point was getting overloaded with... multiple gigs PER DAY, now partially due to my own laziness and distraction but also due to the fact writing takes a lot out of you - I would just fail to complete them. Writing a big article for a few dollars can be testing.

But if you are prepared to offer something of value and work your ass off, you can no doubt make a decent weekly side-income from Fiverr.

I am Level 1 seller on Fiverr, I translate English to Turkish and Turkish to English, they buy around 3-4 gigs a month, can't make a living out of it but for pocket money, it is good.

Promoting my gig by purchasing gig for promoting mine. Will be right decision ? Few people are there on fiverr who will promote your gig for just $5

    Hey 0k0,

I sold on fiverr for a few months and my experience with is was mostly positive. Fiverr is a great little tool if you can find a way to make the $4 you get paid worth it (fiverr takes their service fee out of your end rather than the buyers end).

I made about $500 through fiverr selling logos but the problem is that I never found a way to optimize that process and so it got to be too much work for not enough reward. In addition to this, fiverr is very strict on their rules of communication so it is a bit difficult to move clients outside of their system.

If you have a service in mind that could take full advantage of your time and make the $5.00 worth it then I say go for it.

    Gregg
PS: The waiting period to get paid kind of sucks.

Fiverr’s gonna loose lots of customers since you can get anything SEO-related on SEOClerks. That’s my honest opinion. Fiverr has to make some great changes fast, if they wanna stay in business. SEOClerks even has a better support, they have freebies, and a lot of other features Fiverr wouldn’t even dream of.

I've had mixed success with Fiverr buying gigs. Some do exactly what they say they will do and other ignore you and then it's almost impossible to get the gig cancelled. Even if you do get a refund - it doesn't go back in your paypal account - it's kept by Fiverr should you want to order another gig. I prefer SEOClerks.com now, they specialize in SEO, that's wonderful. There was even a time that I was not satisfied with the work done by one of the sellers, and they gladly refunded my payment.

It's always difficult to grab a first few clients. Because you need to make a place for yourself. As soon as you prove yourself with a first few gigs, you're good to go. That's when you start to get regular business. That's how it worked with me, but I was in Dubai at that time. So I couldn't attend any orders unfortunately. But it's good extra income and once you develop your reputation, you can do much more. Best of luck.

It is a good marketplace. If you check out the top sellers you are sure to find many people who are doing thousands of sales per month. When you are new and you have put up a new gig on fiverr, it can be difficult to get initial sales. You have to do some promotion outside of Fiverr like promoting through your forum signatures, promoting on Facebook or through Youtube videos etc. This way you can get the ball rolling and then later on sales should come to you on regular basis provided your gig is useful and you have got positive reviews.

I do it and yes it's well worth it. Once you have 10 orders you can become level 1 and add "extra"s which make you 10 or 20 more dollars for EACH EXTRA. It really adds up. Try it out.

I have had great success on fiverr but I have done so from both ends. So I have been a buyer and a seller which gives you a better understanding as you have done both sides.

What I found with selling on Fiverr though is that you have to offer something that is either:

    A) in high demand
    B) a little different

For example graphics design and videos are really hot right now but I used to do very well with advertising space for my wedding site before I sold it. And I could sell a 24 hour 250*250 advert for a fiverr and I would sell about 60 a month. And lets face it we all knows it a 5 minute job to put an ad up.

Thats the other thing with Fiverr if you wish to earn $15 an hour you need to consider that you have to get more than 3 gigs done in an hour.

So ask yourself honestly what could you do in 18 minutes a day?

If you look at the writing gigs for example the fast typers will do an about me section of a website for a fiverr and with their typing speed I bet they can get 4 out per hour!

Other things that are successful are things were you are solving a problem such as adding an aweber code to someone's site as you would be amazed by how many people struggle to do that kind of thing.

Just have a good think about it and write down some ideas and before you know it you will have submitted 20 gigs.

Then after a month whatever gigs are not performing replace them until you have 20 gigs that are getting sales everyday.

And have fun I just love Fiverr!
