Can I use the description of a custom channel to tell something like this? "This is the ad with higher CTR on my site" Is this against TOS or Google policies?
You can use any channel name you want... I wouldn't see why you would name it that (as opposed to "side bar left" for example) but whatever works for you...
why you want to give that much big name for a custom channel.. use name just like right sidebar..header
why give it a name like that? i typicaly do: nameofsite-size-location "mydentify-728-header", "mydentify-300-afterpost" tha way i know what site its on, what size and its location.
while i do not understand the reason for such a big name for your custom channel, but you can name it whatever u want. thats for your own tracking purposes only
Sorry guys but do you really read what I wrote??? This is the first sentence of my post: "Can I use the description of a custom channel to tell something like this?" I don't want to use that as the name of the custom channel, I asked if it is ok to use that on the description of the custom channel. A custom channel has the title and the description. What you usual put in the description? Thanks
Are you referring to Adsense or Adbrite? As I can recall myself, Adbrite has the place to put the description while adsense only required you to add a name for your channel.
My problem is this sentence above the description field: "These fields will be shown to advertisers" That is why I am worried with this, can I give information to the advertisers like telling that this ad has a CTR of x or this ad is the ad with more clicks on my site, or something else, I am giving information to third persons, is that ok with google TOS and policies?? This is my real problem.
Yes, I am sure that it's for adwords people and that will help me, that is precisely why I want to write something like that on the description, to tell to the advertisers that a specific ad is where I have more clicks, so that they will bid higher and that is good for me and for them also because they will have more clicks on their ads, this is a win win situation, but, is this ok to google?? That is my doubt as I already said, I don't find nothing on the TOS and Policies related with that, but I also don't want my adsense account banned.
