Anyone here use HostGator?

I think I read somewhere that they limit you to 200 emails an hour. Is this correct. Anyone experience this?

 

**** BEWARE ***

one of my sites was running on mambo and it was hacked twice. Though they were very helpful in removing the iframe code which was attached to every page of the website.

Still if you want to run a website which gets decent traffic, ranks well for some decent keywords and runs on open source apps like joomla ... then beware.

I am using Host gator service from last 1 year and i think its working well and good enough . There is some problem i faced in Dedicated Servers ( it might down few times ) but that problems face by many Dedicated Servers.

I recommend you to go for this service as it is worth..!!

 

I've recently started using HostGator. The service is very cheap compared to anything in the UK and the support is excellent.

I have been use hostgator around 2 years and I'm very satisfy with their support.

 

I recently joined Hostgator and I must admit they are fast, however there billing dept are all over the place. I have paid for the hosting yet they keep asking me to pay. Even after emails to their billing team I am still getting these emails. For me....that aint professional.

I have not used HostGator myself, but have heard nothing but good about them.

 

They do not allow warez, support is very good.

but people wanting to use shared hostgator packages Crons are only allowd to be set every 15 mins, and email usage is very bad and they easly terminate accounts.

Dedicated server are great with them, worth a try for a month or so...

No problems whatsoever with Hostgator.

 

I have an account with them for some of my sites, and have received excellent uptime from them.

Although, they are a good host their support staff are useless since they are just "chat techs" and basically have no authority to do anything which is why, when you need something doing you have to email them for a support technician and as well as this, the "chat techs" are slow at responding and are quite rude at times and generally like to say they aren't authorised to help you on certain things.

 

HostGator, despite all the reviews, is one of the best hosting services out there. Moreso with their $0.01 first month which anyone can abuse if they've got the knowhow . Sure it has some bugs and problems here and there, but overall it provides the best long-term and short-term services of today.

 

Well , I ran my website means a vbulletin forum there for 7 months , no problems till then , but suddenly they send me email saying - my site puts heavy load on their server and they need to transferr me to vps.
I wouldn't recommend them , either you can try -theplanet or bluehost they are pretty good over my experience.

 

I am using hostgator 3 months till now, I am overall satisfied from them. No downtime, fast load..
