ive read alot of bad things about commission junction. I have read about merchants bailing out and not paying at the end of the month. I do notice CJ has alot of products they are selling but they only give like 5% commission? Im just confused, im searching under products and most only give 5-7%. Is this right?
They seem to pay? I never got a single payment from them in 6 years due to "deactivated advertisers".
Well retail business don't pay much, because the retailer has alot of expense, however retail product will be more easy to promote. If you go across CJ for loans , web hosting, the pay pretty good.
Yeah, as soon as I was about to reach the minimal to generate a payment they deducted my commissions due to "deactivated advertisers" time after time.
some offers on cj pay really well but are hard to convert. i also dont like their slow updating statistics
I don't know about their payouts (cos I could never make good sales) but there are some good products to promote that can bring you high comission like Hostgator and Gate.com products. You can check them out if they fall in your niche..
I've never really had any problems making money with CJ. That's about the average commissions you'll find in the affiliate field.
Its average for retail but you can't really say its average in the "affiliate field". There are lots of sectors like loans, credit cards, web hosting. telecoms etc etc that pay a fixed CPA. These are usually anything from $US20 to $US 200 and beyond.
Haha.. Start promoting hostings now, they do have high commissions! You can earn around $100 when you make a sale..
Do you just put p CJ banners or text links? Or do you also create lendingpages to promote CJ affiliates?
Hey coreyt1111, Just something to keep in mind... Most programs (including ours -leadflash.com) payout more in their own branded affiliate programs than they do in CJ. This is due to the CJ fees. Depending upon the merchant and or program, you may wish to consider going direct. Some publishers swear by CJ, and no matter how much they can make elsewhere by going direct, will never make the move. Again ...all depends upon the individual merchant If you have any questions...feel free to hit me up. -=Chipmunk=-
