So far chitika is blowing adsense out of the water. If you have a lot of search engine traffic, then you MUST sign up for chitika !!!!!!!

    I found chitika very bad.
    Infact worse than Adsense.

Adsense is the best if you have content.
You will surely make money with good content.
    But not chitika.

I think this has a lot to do with niche of the site you're using it on. As you can see there are major mixed results. People either love it or they hate it. It either soars or tanks. Maybe a better question to ask would be of the people that love their chikita, what niche are they working within ;)

Hi terrapin! I agree with your niche comments, but would also like to elaborate again on how Chitika has worked for me.

My niche is automotive..for the information. Now, that being said Chitika has been great to get clicks from visitors that would normally just be there to read content or learn information and leave. The CTR for Chitika is higher than Adsense, but the CPCs are lower. It offsets and has added to my earnings without negatively affecting my Adsense revenue. It's just a daily bonus to have Chitika Mega Ads placed at the bottom of a page.

I think the CTR is so much higher because it uses the tried and true method of placing pictures directly beside the ad in question.

Chitika also works well on the same page as AdSense ads, rather than replacing them. You can check out the Chitika blog archives for some suggestions about combining the two services - generally, Chitika | Premium and AdSense together are better than either one alone.

I use chitika premium, along with adsense, my CPC is a little over $0.1 which I estimate is the minimum to be happy with clicks.
Chitika doesn't display if the visitors is not from US or Canada and comes from a search engine, so chitika doesn't take any space for regular users.

After looking over the affiliate forums I am getting the impression that the best way to find out which is best, is simply by testing them out. Sounds like each network has it's pro's and con's, and those depend on each persons site and taste...

I think I'll try a ad from a few different ones and give it a shot, see what does best ^_^.

Chitika has a lower CTR but a higher pay out per click. It is worth trying and if it works for you it can be a viable source of income.

I run it with adsense. I make more per click on adsense than with chitika.

devil-mafia, have you tried running both together? We aren't really a replacement for AdSense, but rather a great combo with it.

Agreed - Need a really specialized niche - I found that Chitika is best for blogs- You can make money on some interesting combos of words/phrases that are instantly linked via Chitika within your content...

Chitika is better than adsense only if you have a high percentage of organic traffic and your niche is not so good as for adsense great earnings.
