Got a few hundred quid in A.G. Barr (IRN BRU). Brought when I was 18 (four years ago). Worth almost double what I paid now.
Looking to get in on some more when I've stopped investing cash into my own company.

I play many penny stocks at a time. Right now, I am almost 3 grand up on AVTi (Note: I bought 3 million shares at .0002 a couple months ago) Low Outstanding share count for sub penny stock. Is at .0011 right now. I have a sell set to sell 1 million for .0012 tomorrow (which makes me $1200.00 - Doubled my $600 investement) and going to ride out the other 2 million shares. We all know sub pennies are very risky for reverse splits but when you are in at .0002- What are you really losing. I wont ride out too long. penny stocks too risky. Have to know when to hold and when to fold and move on to next runner
Also, keep an eye on bunm, Imgr and cncm.
I played INBG last month and made pretty penny. Will take a little beating on IHGP Oh well can't win them all. I do lose some but make much more (never invest too much in one penny stock)

Well, I won a stock exchange competition held by my college lately (second position actually). We only quoted the market price with no real trading performed.
I might want to step in the real market as soon as I can raise some initial capital for the investment. :)

stay away from penny stocks, if you are talking about indian economy or any developed economy then buy infrastructure related companies stocks, power related stocks. Mid cap stocks are best way to make huge money..

I think buying stock is wasting money. I always prefer new things with higher prices.

I also trade but very infrequently now. I might take a position but only after some news triggers a thought and some research following. I play around in penny stocks on occasion but its a market that's badly in need of some real regulation.

I hope someone took my advice and played AVTI last week. It is still running. I loving watching the green. I already 2/3 of mine so made like 6 times my money plus a few grand up on free shares. I have 1 million shares left that I bought at .0002 (cost me $200 for these shares) sitting at .003 right now so they are worth $3000.00. I sold the other 2 million that I bought also at .0002 (cost me $400.00) at .0014 sold for $2800.00. Penny stock trading can be very lucrative but it is risky

I have been investing virtually for the past year or so now, but I'm a little way off putting my actual money in - I really feel like you should only put in money you can afford to lose - and I haven't got anything lying around right now! It has been an interesting experience though - and I will probably invest sooner rather than later. In my view, working out a strategy and then committing yourself to stick to it is perhaps as important as your individual picks. I don't know about penny shares though, I don't think they behave like my model investments?
