    I don't understand why anyone would use Shopify.. There are similar solutions that are just as robust and feature-rich that DON'T charge a percentage-based fee on your monthly sales. If you are making a decent amount of sales each month you are paying far more fees than you need to be paying for your shopping cart solution!

    dave: Yeah, that one thing stopped me a bit...but BigCommerce and Volusion both have bandwidth limits on the non-top tier plans (BAD if your store gets big) and neither seems as ready to go and simple (and powerful comparatively) as Shopify. I literally have what I think is a decent looking comic shop with secure checkout cart the way I wanted it set up and 4 payment methods ready to go in less than a day.

    PS And yes: Magento = waste of time unless you're an advanced user or have a lot of money to spend.

    Makes sense I guess. Although, with solutions like BigCommerce (that are similar to Shopify w/o the commission fee) allow you to move between plans whenever you want to. So that bandwidth thing really isn't an issue. Once you are getting an insane amount of traffic and need to step up to a higher plan, that price difference isn't going to bother you! Get what I'm saying?
