I try to find a valid rumor or something to make me stop cursing new gTLDs and start to think they're not totally worthless but so far i can't.

Did anyone hear anything regarding the SEO or general behavior of Google towards gTLDs ?
ccTLDs rank better for example at local environments.

Any thoughts from Google to rank better exact match gTLDs more than exact match COMs ?

Of course even if they do none will find out, but as i said i try to find something useful.
My opinion is that G will not do anything.

Gigalicious, this is the same old story that was already discussed. Nobody knows for sure anything about new gTLDs and will not know for years. Guessing now is just wasting time, as G can change their policies in a while.

When the .CO came out a few years ago everybody was worried about the same thing and I ranked over many .COM domains for competitive keywords, I still do the same with the .EU and rank high in Latin American. It all depends on the quality of your website and incoming links it has nothing to do with the TLDs.

The only TLD I would never buy is the .info as it was over-abused by spammers.

In 2011 google completely banned the .CO.CC for a while (seroundtable.com/co-cc-google-removal-13644.html)
