Anyone heard of Advertise.com ?

They say they are the PPC for "all other search engines" besides the big 3. We broker text links and so we can't advertise on the big 3. Some PPC experts say they suck... bad traffic, lots of robots. Has anyone advertised with them? Any help would be appreciated.

I've looked into them before and even applied, but I don't think they approved my account. This was for a publisher account though and not an advertiser account. Since I wasn't approved I can't really say how the traffic is..But, they have been around for some time now so they must be doing something right.

I've been advertising with Advertise.com for a long while. They were o-k when I first started, but it got a lot better once I started o optimize their traffic. I buy keyword targeted as well as run of network (or RON) traffic from them.
    Here's what I've found:
Keyword targeted: Solid quality and cheaper than Google/bing but less volume (obviously) for my niche keywords.
Run of network: They have a ton of volume for pennies but you have to optimize the campaign. All ad networks have bots and bad traffic. You just need to identify it and remove it from your traffic mix. They pass through the traffic source id with each click so I can see what's performing and what's not. Their system let's you remove the low-performers. That, in combination with working closely with my rep keeps me happy with their traffic.

If you have some budget to test with, I recommend testing with them. Hope this helps.

Wow. Does a lot! Thank you for that! Do you have possibly a % of traffic? i.e. - worked with some companies where G is 80% and Bing is 20% (like national)... would you say that you are getting 100 leads a day from G you get 4 to 5 leads a day from Advertise?

    Thanks bud.

Actually, I get more leads per day from Advertise. The reason being is that my costs with them are 25% of what I'm spending on Google. I can only spend so much on Google they have a lot of traffic and are expensive so go figure. Since Advertise.com is cheaper for me and I can optimize, I'm getting more conversions on Keyword and RON.

I never tried advertise.com but if you are using this website to have clicks on your ads while running adsense you are breaking the TOS which is grounds for immediate termination, even with an appeal you will most likely be declined to have your account reinstated. you better not try it

here is the scoop on advertise.com - orgranville is right - if you do a run of network buy you can optimize to remove the 'bots' traffic and see some performance for pennies on the dollar. However - their network of pubs use both porn redirected traffic and browser/toolbar malware to deliver clicks to page as well as bots. Rooting out bots is not the same as rooting out porn redirects and browser malware. lots of performances clicks that are optimized are still highly questionable and the range of tricks to show performance is virtually endless by now. There also may be actual human performance, but since that set of eyeballs was delivered to the page through a browser tab that malware opened on their computer, the traffic is still fraudulent.

their network being around for a while is not proof that 'they must be doing something right'. it is proof that they have evolved a very sophisticated methodology for gaming traffic around the web through a series of url re directs through browser and search toolbar malware - it's almost undetectable.

Yes, adsense WILL ban you if you use advertise.com traffic directly - why? because google knows where they are getting their audiences and for what purposes, for publishers to use to game advertisers.

I'm an affiliate marketer and signed up with Advertise.com to promote a bunch of cpa offers. Of the offers that are successful for me on other networks, I would say that 75% are also successful and very profitable for me with Advertise. Doesn't seem like they have any crap traffic.

How do you root out the bots? I placed a tracking link on my TY page, and I'm getting tons of "conversions" according to Advertise.com - even though I'm not getting the leads. :-/

I got 13 leads yesterday, but Advertise analytics showed 220. It only cost me $25, so it's not a big deal, but I have no idea how to properly optimize my traffic if I'm not getting reliable information. What do you do?
