Sales for the last 3 days have dropped off the radar practically, weird. Anyone else seeing anything unusual?
Whoa... I've been waiting for someone to post something like this. I have been noticing a very strange dip in sales.. starting about 5 days ago. It's slowly coming back up for me, but my sales are WAY down compared to normal. Clicks seem the same. I posted a entry about this... "Unusual March trends". Usually, I have a entire page of sales / day, but the last few days it's down to 5-15 sales... which is really unusual for me. I've been seeing 25-50 sales / day for months. Thoughts? hanji
Me too, way down on leads / sales. Around the same time (5 days ago) I started noticing ebay flash banners with live product listings on a bunch of large websites like myspace and yahoo. Maybe the banners are getting a good response and overwriting affiliate cookies?
That's interesting. My YSM/PPC clicks went down too, but were up yesterday and today at normal levels. I'm hoping things come back in the next few days. I like your idea of the banners possibly taking away clicks. My daily clicks to eBay are pretty close to average levels. Maybe a tad down. The lack of sales is what makes me think it could be tracking.. not sure. hanji
There are lots of posts on various forums about this. I have the anomaly of clicks increasing by about 50% and commission sales dropping by about 80%. But, strangely, I've had an increase in ACRUs, nothing dramatic though. This trend began for me on the day after the eBay/CJ announcement. You're not alone.
I can't wait for the 1st when I can switch over from CJ, too much black magic here ..never know whats going on.
I agree. For all we know, they're preparing us for a shock. Of course, what will happen in this thread is that someone will post that their sales have exploded over the last couple of weeks. Happens all the time in this type of thread.
Absolutely. eBay provides the batch to CJ everyday.. we can almost assume that the tracking errors are in the batch.. and nothing to do with CJ. I'm wondering if things could be goofy with a number of reasons. 1. Possible weirdness relating to the pending change on the 1st. I know some affiliates are currently using the campid, etc., and I can imagine keeping all of this straight during this transition could be difficult. 2. economy related trend. April 15th coming up for US/Tax headaches. Might be knee jerk reaction to tighten purse strings all around. Possible explanation as to why my YSM clicks went down as well as AdSense. 3. New creatives from eBay as mentioned earlier on Yahoo/MySpace. Could be pulling away from PPC and might also include natural cookie theft. Not sure. Any other ideas out there? Today was the first day in a few days that my commissions were looking good (but that was because one sale provided a good commission). As for myself, I can't wait to get started with EPN so we can move on, and get back to making money. hanji
unfortunately same from here, sales have gone into a big black hole. very frustrating. question I have is. will we ever see the revenue from the past weeks sales or not?
I am having the same problem...........no sales since March 3rd, but twice as many clicks than last month. I sent an email to support at CJ and there reply was that my links were correct and advised that I contact the advertiser (ebay). So......I have sent two emails to affiliate support, but no replies yet. Something just doesn't seem right
The last 3 days have been 1/10th my normal revenue... Something tells me CJ isn't really putting 100% into resolving the issue since eBay will soon not be a customer. I'm hoping it gets resolved during end of month processing.
My earnings crash was between March 21st and 26th. It looks like it *might* be geting back to normal.
I've gotten back to sort of normal the last couple of days. Lots of commissions, but mostly of the "micro commission" variety.
People, don't forget, Ebay is leaving CJ, so it's normal this delays, in the next weeks you'll see your earnings back to normal. Btw, i don't like to brag, but i was one of the first to signup with the new ebay affiliate network, it's nothing i know, but it was something cool for me
