Targetpoint has a contextual advertising service much like Google's AdSense. I'm wondering if anyone has experience with them that they would like to share? Website - http://www.targetpoint.com
Yeah I used their banner for a couple of months on 100s of thousands of impressions. Made about $6 on all of that and took em off. Dunno why they didn't pay me more since they had so many ads showing. Like almost every impression I could see DELL ads linking back to their specials on dell.com but I never got any mony from targetpoint worth mentioning.
Ah ok, I figured as much. I'm curious, were you not matching up with AdSense earnings per click, or was it that no one was clicking their ads? I'm trying to figure out if their pay is comparable to AdSense.
Firstly I got paid betwee 1 and 4 cents per click. Secondly I got about 1/50th the CTR that I got with Adsense and even that is being generous. I have no clue why I did so bad with them since they are known to advertise on "cheesy" sites like a really big torrents site. Maybe they took me for a sucker? Maybe no advertiser signed up with me through them and their generic network ads don't pay squat? Dunno.
I long stopped using targetpoint due to really low payouts. But today, I noticed that on pages where I had accidently left code, they had somehow taken over all the links on the page. Even my affilliate links. They all went through finestresults.com and messed up my site. I will never use TARGETPOINT again. Period.
You can contact MSN representatives of TargetPoint. After complaining you have low payouts they made a custom ad layout for me which is optimized for my website's content. I went from $.10 per to $10 per day in early 2006. Ultimately I stopped as their software got buggy (ads with continuous scripting errors). As far as I can tell after MSN chats they are Israeli and gladly help you. They do payout in time hower and checks appear rather fast, my respect for that.
They do pay, really. The only thing with TargetPoint is, you must be the one taking the initiative to get things rolling well.
