I have a business account established with them for 4 years, making transactions more than 1k, and having more in my paypal account then my bank account... Yet paypal still denies it when I try to apply for a paypal plus credit card. Im lost...
Being approved for a credit card, even one being with PayPal, has nothing to do with how much business you've done with them or necessarily even how much money you have. There are a lot more factors in the equation to obtaining one. Debit cards play no role whatsoever in your credit score or even report. You should checkout MyFico.com to see exactly how good your credit report and score is just to be sure. A good thing to do would be to call the bank which issues the credit card to see why you are being denied after applying. IMO, the PayPal credit card isn't that great as there are much better options through banks such as Chase which offer better rewards. The PayPal debit card wouldn't be a bad choice to obtain since it is nearly identical but without the true credit ability.
Its not actually paypal that issue the cards.. its some underruling company for paypal that ive never heard of, they are way offshore from the uk and im pretty sure its an under developed country anyway, so im kinda glad i didnt get it
GE Money Bank is the card issuer and located in the US. They are not just a company that popped up overnight.
