I need to upgrade my site which is a chat community. I am looking for the best possible webcam and chat software and keep coming back to Flashcoms. It looks great but very expensive. I dont mind paying out for it, but is there anything I should know first? Or is there a better alternative?

Please help, I need to start upgrading around wednesday gmt.

    Thank you.

You can always use tinychat :)

    It's free!

    Thanks but no thanks!

I do things myself and not sending all my traffic to a hosted chat room to make them ads revenue when I have 1k to invest and a very fast dedicated server with a website doing well.

I need an upgrade not a downgrade!

The point of this thread is info on Flashcoms or something similar that I can install on my server.

Are you willing to tell us what you are currently using. It looks pretty good. Flashcoms also looks good. Have you checked out 123 flash chat?

Also, are you willing to tell us what other scripts you like. I'm also thinking of upgrading in the near future, and I'd love to hear about what other scripts you like.

All I know, is that Flashcoms is a bit more than I would be willing to spend right now. However, maybe in the future once I'm making a bit more money.

I´ve decided to give Flashcoms a try out. I have sent them an email asking for a couple of plugins and some more minor info before I spend the best part of $800. I just hope the community like it!

I will let you know how I get on.

I did once have pro chat rooms, it didnt work out at all and it reminds me a bit like 123flaschat. Also, for unlimited connections, 123flashchat is very overpriced.

I am currently using Tufats flashchat $5 bargain with the webcam server from VirtualJam. I will keep both of the chat rooms running because some people still like it. Flashcoms will become the main chat area.

The DSL product has been fine, but flashcom service (specifically billing and technical support) has been marginal at best.

Awesome. Please keep us posted. I also noticed a pretty big chat site that I'm familiar with uses Visichat. I'm just checking them out now.

I'm really curious how you like Flashcoms, since I might go with this too down the road.

    Best of luck.

I am very angry! The payment system used on Flashcoms for me to pay them 584 euros will not work with any of my credit or debit cards, although I have well over that amount in my bank. Paypal can not verify my credit card because they have problems with Spanish banks. So I will have to wait until I have the money in Paypal before buying Flashcoms.

I have take a look at Visichat and I am really tempted to go ahead and buy it as I have enough money in Paypal for it.

Anyone else had any experience with Visichat?

Hi, I know this is an older thread, but I'm in the same situation as the OP. I'm going to PM him as well if he doesn't see this within a couple days.

I've heard Flashcoms has improved? Not sure. Visichat is a new one to me, I've been looking at some others, cheapest I've found that seems legit nowadays: http://www.flashchatdeluxe.com/index.php

I'm willing to pay for Flashcoms, the new V7 Community Chat seems awesome - I'm going to be putting it in place @NE1up dot com if anyone is interested in following along, or add me on Twitter, same name. Would love ANY input or thoughts on this!

So, I've been working on my own site at ne1up.com for the past couple weeks, finally had a designer come on board to really make it look good, I'm kinda going after oovoo.com and those types... Anyway, I was curious what solutions people might recommend or have experience dealing with?

I've got about...6 strong options in front of me, and I'm really looking to get some valid and real advice before I pull the trigger on any of these big purchases from anyone who has any experience that might help me make a decision.

    I'm looking at:

    http://www.videoconferencescript.net/features

    http://demo.flashcoms.com/site/

    http://www.flashchatdeluxe.com/index.php

    http://www.123flashchat.com/

    http://avchat.net/

    http://www.tufat.com/script2.htm with http://virtualjam.net/addons/

    https://www.tokbox.com/opentok/plugnplay

Leaning towards Flashcoms, but I still haven't fully fully dug into all of these enough to make a firm decision.

Really appreciate any input, I'm about to revamp my landing page and attach one of these video conferencing platforms, and go from there...

    Thank you!
