I'm new to all this, but while checking some of my ads, to make sure everything was working okay, I'd click on the link from my usfreeads and the window would open, and immediately another window would open. On the order page was another affiliate's ID. Also in the address box. I've emailed , and spoken to Clickbank. They asked me to take them to one of my ads. The problem is, it isn't the same ad all the time, it's always different. I've even gotten an AdWord account, and testing the link while in my account it's happened. I must say I'm very discouraged because they can't seem to give me any answers. I hesitate about changing my ID number with them, because if this has happened once, I feel it could happen again. I'm new to this site, but if anyone has had this happen, can you tell me if it's been resolved, ta ta, clickme

Sounds like you have software on your computer. Some sites and downloads ad software that changes all refferal links to the person who wrote the software.

The site could have it but if you have seen this on other sites i bet your computer is infected with it.

They get the sale when some one click on a ad. This has been going on a long time. Hackers write programs that infect people computer. You advertise site and if someone clicks on link the software send people to the person who wrote the programs affiliate site.

I just spent 239.00 with Dell about a month ago, because of a possible virus. This was before I started doing the ads. I'm wondering why pay out the money for such things if I can't protect my computer. Money is very much an issue, what's your advice?

    I agree with rcj662,
Hackers write such software that changes affiliate ids.
However, they can't infect the computers of all our visitors.
So, we can still make money with clickbank or any other affiliate program.

    Hello Clickme,
It is better to check your ads in other computers also.
Check them in your friends computer or any other public computer and make sure everything is working well.
