    Hi

Has anyone got to page one of any of the big social bookmarking sites?
How did your google rank go?
    Did your server struggle?
For direct traffic was any of it useful?

Oh yes and of course how did you do it :)

    thanks

My dream is to get on top of DIGG without cheating as most people do. Well, once your on digg front page, you know your site will have to be a powerful hosting tool to keep all those visitors before exploding.

It will certainly bring in the traffic but I doubt that would have any effect towards the page rank. You might want to give consideration that most of the time, the traffic won’t bring conversion as well.

I had a page stumbled once, and that page started ranking well for its keywords, But has never really had steady or constant SERPs for its keywords..

Did the server struggle? Um.. not sure, Don't no how to check:eek:

Was the traffic useful? Well it was certainly interesting to see, but did not really convert that well, mind you I was not expecting it, and had not really monetized the page. It could have been if I new before hand, but I was happy enough just to see traffic to a new page :D

    The stats from the stumble

It will bring visitors and if those visitors own websites related to your article they may write about it and link back to you which could give better search engine ranks.

Once I got massive traffic from stumbleupon around 3000 visitors But later I remove that page from site because it was creating so much problem for my adsense income

i've been on the front page of Digg twice - I don't think it affected my PR at all, but i think all of the incoming links helped my SERPS over time. My server held-up fine probably because all of my content is cached for anonymous visitors.

It's been about 2 years since being on the front page of Digg, and those stories still send several hundred visitors per day - but all of those incoming links are probably the most valuable.

yes, i have done it before but it's for a short time (1 pr 2 days) and that will not change your seo.

it will only boost your traffic
