Hi guys, Wonder if you guys have always good experience with submiting to so many free new web directory out there (I see daily people soliciting for free directory submitting). As such, do you have a good experience? i.e. got PR increase or get really good traffic from such directory? Cheers
yes. I do have.... I have a site which is one month old. I submit to all free directories out there... I already some google data center has a pr 4 for me. and most of my site pages are indexed correctly..... By the way, if you want to know the site url. it is: http://www.submithelper.com. I use the future tool on seochat.com to check my pr.
I have a bunch of sites that have recieved good Search Engine rankings with only links from directories. The traffic from 1 directory is almost nothing, but if you have hundreds of directory listings you will get some traffic, especially if your site is interesting or different.

It has promise but in my opinion is not ready for distribution yet. Needs testing and instructions. I received too many errors that I couldn't get pass.

Thanks... I have a few people working on that list and software only! the list is updated almost daily. The only problem is that they do it from China and their English is not that good!
Well i have great experiences with free directories. They help with PR and if you are submitted to a popular directory you do get some targeted traffic from them since any targeted traffic is good traffic.
Sorry to hear that, you don't need to install that software, download and unzip it can click the .exe file to run it. that is it...no installation needed! However you do need to have .NET framework 1.1 or up to run it.
To be honest, I don't think directories are for the purpose of generating traffic. Its purely and simply for buliding up links so you can rank better.
Well, I've started submitting my site to the directories @ villesilencer and from pr0 i'm not at pr1. And only reached letter T. I guess it helps It won't do much for traffic, there are a lot of directories that all look alike, use the same template, they offer no incentives to people checking them out.
Directories is more help in your Linkbuilding process. But base on my experience it generates traffic a littlebit, coz if the directory has generates large traffic i think it gives also to you a traffic...
I did click the .exe file it just gives me error, but anyway I'm getting a new computer, so it will probably work on that one.
