I recall a clause in the TOS that says they won't count clicks from foreign traffic or something close to that. Has anyone seen an adjustment to their earnings for that reason?
I am expecting some adjustments, as I sometimes see IP traffic from India and China in my server logs. I'm fine with it; it's the right way to handle it. With AdSense, they would probably flag your account. AmCy
From talking to a YPN rep, it was my understanding that they do not count (at least certain) clicks from outside the US. India and China were specifically mentioned, but it may be all. The Yahoo Rep posted on DP that most adjustments are done within a day - but that they reserve the right to take longer. I wouldn't count on getting credit for clicks generated Internationally, hence their requirement that any site running YPN be geared for US traffic.
I emailed them and this was their response Hello xxxxxxxx Ads published from the Yahoo! Publisher Network are currently for the U.S. market place only. Someone viewing your web site from outside the U.S. may be able to see and click on Yahoo! Published Ads, but these clicks will not be considered unqualified clicks and thus they would not result in revenue. Sincerely, Steve McDoran Customer Solutions Yahoo! Publisher Network --------------------Original Message-------------------- are the ypn ads only shown to people in the usa and are the click from usa people counted only? Cause someone on a forum said that and I wanted to make sure cause if thats the case I will have to target adsense to people that are not from a usa ip and target ypn to usa ips.
I wonder if these clicks are tracked whatsoever. If not, this may be a factor in why the CTR does not always seem as high as other affiliate programs.
