Anyone got a Pligg Site?

Discussion in 'Sites' started by Nanofied, Jan 16, 2006.

Im looking for someone interested in having me take a pligg site, and totally re-do the entire site, then sale it. I see them for sale here all the time, and I want to see how much of a price difference my new design would make. I will do it for free, simply for the fact that it shouldnt take long, and I am using the sale results towards my company. I also jsut want to see what all the pligg interface is capaple of with a little programming and design. Thanks!

Anyone interested can reply in here or pm me...

I only am looking to do maybe 2-3, which would be jsut enough to gather some results.

    Thanks!

I think he wants people to think he is some design/programming guru. He is known to be a little fishy. He tried selling a template site for thousands of dollars.

Go to http://www.pligg.com if you want to work the magic Daniel-son.

    I own pligg.org :)

Plan to make a pligg fan/support/mods/themes site

    Make me some themes. :)

And uhh.. as for not having a host... just download FREE apache triad or the package at www.devside.net <-- I use that package on my production server actually to serve my blog (www.georgeboone.com)

Install it on your PC and you can develop all the sites you want. PHP/Apache/MySQL all included

P.S. pligg is truly still in BETA. It is not AT ALL ready for prime time.

New releases are coming daily and about 25 to 30 percent of the admin features needed to run the site just dont work.

Nevermind... I found a discount code for godaddy.com and jsut decided to buy myself a four letter domain, and a nice hosting package. It only cost me $9 for 2 months hosting and the domain. Not bad at all. I think I am goignto sell it whe nI am done though... I dont really need any more projects on my hands...

Not to second guess you, but you can get a hosting account with hostgator, use a code, get the first month free and buy a domain. It will be just as cheap, and you will have cpanel access. You can also host unlimited domains there.

Just a thought, as I know that godaddy sucks for hosting.

Doesn't this thread belong in a different area? Shouldn't sites for sell be reserved for uh... sites for sale?

The control panel is awful. Cpanel is 10X better IMO.

Plus you could host unlimited domains on the hostgator account. So if you have 4 sites and are paying 3.99 a month for their lowest account option at godaddy, you are paying 12 bucks, when you could pay $10, and have a lot more sites with better control panel options.
