Playstation 3 is almost here and I was wondering if anyone was going to camp out to try and get their hands on one? I know Im NOT, but I am sure if anyone does they can make a nice little profit off selling it on Ebay... I bet they are going to sell for double, even tripple the price for this holiday season!

It would be worth it to do so, I just won't have the money this month :-(

I am going to get one ( I HOPE) but I am going to keep it.
If there is any way I can get a couple I will and probably sell to a friend at my cost but I am guessing that you can only get one per person.

It better be as good as advertised!

One of my friends is driving to another state at midnight next Thursday to try and get one at a lesser popular store than a city store. I just point and laugh! :)

If I do get one, it won't be the first gen of PS3s. I always wait for them to work out all the kinks and bugs before buying a new console. Like with the 360 and the overheating and misc other issues it had...most are resolved by now.

I have a gaming vlog and I am following the Wii launch closely as there are dozens of locals (even here in podunk) that are camping out for the Wii. I have yet to find anyone close by that's talking about camping for the PS3. I'd love to cover that launch too.

I'm going to go and film the line at Best Buy, but I can't help but think that maybe they overpriced this sucker too much even for the hardcore (speaking from a girl who has 2 XBox 360s, 4 XBoxes, 2 DSs, 6 PCs, 1 GBA, 1 N64 and 1 GameCube, all currently hooked up in my home). Even I am not hardcore enough for the PS3 LOL

I'll be waiting until there's at least 10 good games before I get a PS3. Or until someone chips it. Whatever comes first.

My luck I would buy 3 or 4 units to try and re-sale, and then for some reason the stores would have tons on hand, and I would get stuck with them. So NO, I wont be waiting in line to buy one.

The price looks quite steep. Plus I can't find my tent...

I think its totally worth it.. every christmas something gets sold out and I would put money on it saying its the PS3... price could be a little issue, but people get crazy with consoles... and the idea of making a swift profit doesn't sound too bad at all!

I would camp out if I had the money!

I think the Wii is the better bet for a quick profit, provided they're expected to be in short supply - which I've not read anywhere but is usually the case for a console launch.

I got one of the first PS2's and it's still running strong today in the kids toyroom, so not all first gen consoles fail - I guess some of it is luck tho'

I won't be camping out to get a PS3, but they're not out here in Europe 'til Spring '07, which is still a loooong way away, damnit! :(

As I did with the 360, I will have to resist the purchase until prices have dropped...

More fun staying inside and making some websites instead of being out in the cold waiting in line! :)
