    The title says it all.

I'm just looking for alternative ways of getting traffic to my site.

nope, a better way than posting comments on your niche's videos make some! Make your own videos and post them with your URL in it. You will see some traffic but not alot unless your video becomes popular, but still its another great way to get traffic to your website.

guess it is diffcult to work that way... you comment will drop to page two quickly if the vidoe is popular; if the vidoe is not popular, what the point of making a comment on there at the first place..
a better way to do make your own video and you can put your URL on website and leave a clickable link below the vidoe... and make the vidoe go viral, by this way ,you can the boost of your traffic for sure

I am not sure about youtube, but having a video in general on your product probably would convert better then just text...
and it shows a level of being professional...

not sure if using the comment of the youtube would bring traffic to your site.. since not anybody who watches the video and leaves their comment takes time on reading others..

MTG might be right... having your own video posted with you url might help..

Create yout own videos of different lengths, so video 1 is 30 seconds, video 2 is 90 seconds, all vidoes should target different keywords
so you will have say 10 videos of different legths with 10 unique keywords

Post videos on your business, should be crisp and upto the point video.
The tag should be added properly so that it comes in the search.
