Anyone get over 0.40% CTR on Facebook?

My best CTR on Facebook is 0.40%. That brought my CPC to $0.07. Any thoughts on how I can get a better CTR?

    Facebook is sneaky....

I promoted to 400,000 people w/ spending limit $15.00, and my CTR was 0.38%.

I increased my spending limit to $100 (everything else the same) and Facebook ate up $62 in the first 5 minutes... and my CTR dropped to 0.11%.

How could my CTR drop like that if I'm advertising to the same crowd? That tells me that FB is making more people see less ads.

I'm not sure how more people seeing less ads can actually decrease the CTR? maybe I'm missing something.

I'm guessing it's a matter of the ad being shown to the same people over and over and they're not clicking. Sometimes ads get "un-fresh" quickly and you'll need to rotate your ads to keep them fresh.

Also, if you have a CTR of 0.40% you should change to CPM (keep same budget)

I apologize... I was advertising in CPM. My CPM was $0.28 which, at 0.38% CTR translated to a CPC of $0.07. I tried doing CPC, but Facebook would not show my ads under $0.27 per click. At the same CTR, that would've eaten up my budget in a few seconds... so I did CPM instead.

I'm thinking at $15 adspend per day, Facebook only opts to show ads to *a portion of 400,000*... And since I increased my daily budget to $100, Facebook decided to show my ad to "more of the 400,000". This is the only way my CTR could go down, because I changed no parameters.

Are you saying I should run more than one ad at the same time to keep it fresh in front of users? I only ran one ad, as I figured Facebook would distribute the ad impressions in the order the users surfed. At 400,000 people, the ad should get distributed evenly among them. I figured that's what was happening during my $15 daily budget run.

Good that you're running CPM and nice work on the .4% CTR. I don't *think* that facebook is smart enough to show your ads to only a portion of 400K ... I would guess it's more to do with your ad only showing up a few times in front of each person of the 400K where as with a $100 you get more displays in front of each of the 400K. I'm not an expert and am just learning through affiliit, but that's my guess from my experiences.

Also, yes you should have a few ads ready to rotate in front of your users. Ads can and do get 'stale' so it's best to have them prepped and ready to show.
