On December 26th there was a Taiwan earthquake that disrupts cable between Asia and US. I know some guy who got his account banned on 29th. He's been working with Google for more than 1 year and has been earning $8000 per month. Anyone else?
are we trying to win the dumbest thread of 2007 already? just kiding, but don't see any relation between earthquake and his ban!?
More likely that high earning accounts get audited and this was an unlucky coincidence. If he has nothing to be worried about then a simple query should sort it out.
Im really confused... This makes no sence. Although, google is well known to cancle accounts at the end of the month. (payout is at the start) Some people (including myself) agree that google closes accounts at the end, so they can take the entire month's earnings and not just the first week of the month.
Ofcourse he can get banned due to an earthquake. Some people got banned when there was a Tsunami back in LW Asia. I remember even when there was a Hurricane Katrina, there were people banned. It is just your luck if you live in a place where it rains/snows/earthquakes or droughts. Peace,
I've got so much fun reading it I thought this forum is full of infos but boring. It turns out that can be funny too sweet
Apparently so. I have no idea what the two have in common maybe he is trying to say it was a GoogleQuake.
for all you people who cannot connect 1 and 1 together, ill do it for you. Lets say google emails you saying you have 3 days to modify a page that is in violation of adsense. When the earthquake hit, communications were brought to a standstill. Now if it took 3 days for the internet to come back up (which the email would of given up trying to be delivered by that stage i belive), the webmaster would be unaware of this. Google being more reliable than an atomic clock for banning accounts, bans his account on the 3rd day. Thus meaning if the earthquake never happened, they would of gotten the email, and recitified the issue. Pierce
pierce, that's outstanding but too 007 for me. who knows? maybe that's the real cause of all this... or not.
Hopefully you can appeal to get your account back using the earthquake excuse. If not, good riddence use any of the 100+ other good ad services
Allright guys. This may not be a big thing in US. However, the earthquake knocks down cable that connects internet between Asia to US. In Jakarta here, for a few days, nobody can connect US websites. I mean they can, but a web view takes minutes and even then often only partially. From what I heard in news, no body can connect to US websites in Asia. http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&lr=&safe=off&q=taiwan+earthquake+internet&btnG=Search That guy traffic is from Asia his site is hosted in US.
Down here iHug and Xtra have been embargoing emails for up to a week because of spam filtering issues. They'd rather deliver late than risk letting spam through. Commendable but while you can't sue an earthquake are they opening themselves up to litigation?
