If you are going to Japan, learn Japanese first, start eating raw fish and other live sea food and beware of Godzilla, it seems to develop an unusual love for Japan.. Americans tried to lure it away but they got confused...
you just want to get laid by Japanese girls....just be honest. So just because I replied with Japanese, that makes me from Japan? 馬鹿ã§ã‚ã‚‹!
I took a "Rosetta" crash course on Japanese as we have many Japanese clients.I don't speak it very well but the clients appreciate that I at least make an attempt.
Hey Guys, is it reality that living in japan is much more expensive as compared to even UK or US?? and also how is it overall? if any of you could share your email ID here so that i can be in personal touch with you, i dont have so much time...
it depends on where in Japan you are living, in your case Tokyo is expensive. If you don't have so much time then don't bother asking questions here. Just fly there and see if you can afford living there.
Tokyo is a huge metropolis, there is always something to do... As for university, have you been accepted? If you have, will they provide a scholarship? For foreign students, there are some government and company sponsored scholarships, especially for research students, and they will cover your cost of living... for instance, one for masters students is like ~$1.5k / month, I think and you can find pretty inexpensive places to live, and if you're lucky, the university might own a few dorms in kanagawa or somewhere farther out that are subsidized and very inexpensive (~200-300 / month including utilities)..... also, as a university student, you can get a special train pass for like 120$ for 3 months that will let you go between where you live to the school... food... get a rice cooker, and if you buy groceries intelligently and cook intelligently, it might cost around 200$ / month, if you eat out, a meal averages around 7-800 yen... but you can get a bowl of rice and beef for like 450 yen, and you can also get expensive 2000 yen meal (20$)... entertainment... you can go out to the izakaya for all you can drink for an hour or two, it is around 1500 yen, and karaoke is the around the same rate i think, but there are always coupons and deals...
But that living expense is the cheapest possible... i think really in tokyo the cost will be significantly higher... at leasy $800-$1000... you migh tneed a part time job
