The ads look interesting, they are in the vein of chitika though. Anyone have been paid these days ??
It maybe ok for Tumri to let you use it with AdSense...but will Google allow AdSense with Tumri? That is the question.
Why they wouldn't ?? Google allows all sort of ads excepted contextual ads with the same look of GG since an update of the Tos for 1 month or so.
Still waiting for my first payment. I'm averaging $30+/day. While My Adsense earns me $120+, Tumri still has higher CPC ratio. About .08/click while adsense only gives me 0.03/click on average. I get thousands of clicks/day from Adsense recently due to my rapidly increasing traffic but im gettin very low cpc lately.
Yes Google's restrictions from what I know are only for ads that are a) contextually generated OR b) look similar to Adsense ad banks. So you could not use YPN or MSN Adcenter - but could use Chitika or Kontera or Tumri for example. My understanding is it's been this way for some time. HOWEVER it's your business so don't rely on advice from people in forums. Double check with Google - if after reading the TOS it is not clear to you. Alex your questions are good ones and they are issues that have been discussed but not set in stone yet or added to TOS. Since the company is fairly new, you guys and the feedback you offer are really helping to shape things. They are discussing today and will try to get us some firm answers tomorrow hopefully.
WOW thanks so much Linda, I'm sooo excited. When I receive my first check from Tumri soon (hopefully), I will have to replace Adsense with Tumri if all is well. So far so good for me.
Hi Alex and all, We're excited that you are so excited!!! We hope to provide lots of publishers with a great source of additional or replacement income. Here the answers to your questions from the Director of Publisher Relations at Tumri. 1.) Can I add Tumri ads on any of my sites aside from the one i used when signing up? How many ads are allowed on one page? Yes, you can place Tumri AdPods on any site(s) that meet the requirements in Section 2 of Tumri's terms and conditions. If you choose to, you can list all the site URLs separated by a comma in the My Account section of your Tumri Publisher Portal, but that is not required. Tumri will track the URLs of the pages displaying the Tumri AdPod and report them under the Reports section. The Reports section makes it very easy for publishers to see traffic by URL, merchant, category, ad unit, and daily activity. There is not a limit on the number of AdPods that can be placed on each page, but practically speaking it makes sense to keep number per page to no more than two. More than two on a page will create some staleness for your visitors. If you want to carry more products or dedicate more page space to the AdPod, Tumri offers half-page and full-page links that can turn your webpage into your own customized storefront. (Bold by Linda - just want to be sure you know this option is available.) 2.) How do they deal with invalid clicks? Traffic from outside merchants' shippable/serviceable areas will not be commissioned. Traffic is reviewed after the close of each month and commissions may be reversed out in those cases. To date, the portion of reversed commissions in the network has been very small. 3.) What is the appropriate/allowed label for these ads? Ex. "Online Store" or "Shop Here", etc. There is no hard and fast rule on this, but the examples given are fine. Sensible considerations for labelling are: what makes sense to the site's visitors, what is relevant to the site's formats, and if the label generally recognizes the Tumri AdPod as an advertisement. Tumri will address concerns in this area in its sole discretion on a case by case basis. 4.) Are images next to ads fine with Tumri and isn't against their publishers' TOS? Yes, both cases are generally allowed by Tumri's Terms and Conditions. It is up to the publisher to place the AdPod on their site as they wish, though Tumri reserves sole discretion regarding the appropriateness and validity of ad placement. Tumri's goal is to help its clients make money while protecting both the integrity of the Tumri network and its clients' brands and businesses. There should not be any problems if publishers operate with that common goal in mind. (Note from Linda - the way Tumri ad's are constructed with attractive images included already, not sure why you would need or want to add, but as Jeff said you can.) 5.) How will they send the check? (Priority Mail, DHL, etc.) Is there an option to have it delivered via a fast courier?(Like DHL) And how long will publishers receive it? Checks are mailed within the United States through the US Postal Service. Non-US based publishers can request to have checks express shipped to them via a mutually agreed carrier, or sent via wire transfer or ACH. Publishers wishing to inquire about their checks or request special service can email support AT tumri DOT com. 6.) Do they terminate publishers without notice for not complying with their TOS? Is there a warning? (So far I didn't see a solid/clear TOS or guide for displaying ads for publishers). As stated above, Tumri's goal is to help its clients make money while protecting both the integrity of the Tumri network and its clients' brands and businesses. Tumri's compliance policy is equal parts rehabilitation and termination. Cases are handled individually. Tumri makes extra effort to ensure open communication channels and awareness of the issues and actions, if any, that will be taken. Tumri has and will work to preserve any viable publisher relationships through dialogue and warnings, but deals swiftly and appropriately with fraudulence. (Bolded by Linda) =============================================== Also note to all, from LINDA personally, not from Tumri directly. Your questions are based largely I think on the Adsense TOS so they are good questions to ask. However realize Tumri's model is quite different and therefore the rules are different and IMHO less restrictive. (BUT sometimes as a program grows and the bad guys try to game things, stricter rules need to be put in place. Unfortunately unethical marketers make it harder for everyone.) My feeling is as long as you are marketing ethically and don't do anything to cheat merchants or deceive customers you will be fine. NOW GO GET 'em!!!
sure, they've actually been contacting me very often. and i like the way they value their publishers... still waititng for my first check though! will keep you updated and even post a screenshot of my check here.
Anyone had any luck with Tumri? I am about to take down the AdPods before the Xmas season starts. Put up something better. The AdPods are the worst performing widgets that I have ever used. Only a trickle of income in 5 months.
