I just purchased a website, and found some old documents on the server that I believe is content. I am having a problem opening the document though. Its says it is an fla file. Anyone know what that is, and how to open it? I tried word, notepad, wordpad, adobe, wordperfect, ie. Any ideas?
Yea, Adobe Flash, or Flash 8 can open it. If you want, you could send me the file and I could tell you what's on it.
I downloaded adobe flash player, but still can't open it. Is there any free software to open it? I'd sent it to you 10101 but i have like 50 of these, so if there content i'd like to figure out how to get them up on my site..
not flash player. you need Flash the software. the Flash player is used only to read the .swf (the compressed final movie). it's like working with a photoshop .psd and then saving it as a .gif. as far as I know, the only way to open a .fla and edit it is with Flash.
Swish has a 15 day trial for flash. SwishMax is the program and if you go to SwishZone.com you can find it. Need flash software to open, like eruct said. Good Luck.
Swish does not open .fla. Swish will open an .swf Its proprietary to Adobe Flash. If there is a trial you can probably open it but Adobe Flash is a high dollar program.
Swish is a cheap flash reverse engineering program, the fla file is a flash source, who knows what version.
