I've been back and forth with them over this for months, I finally figured it out...there are two seperate server configs, they call them a and b, in your hosting account list it will say Deluxe Hosting -a or -b...b has a functional mod_rewrite, but at the loss of the extra space/bandwidth they just added to the accounts. I believe they are trying to get most people off this configuration, as they offer TWICE the space and bandwidth for the same price on the other.

I used them on an experimental website. It is slow but sort of expected since it is low cost. However, the only problem is that it dont allow direct login to the Control Panel. Meaning you will have to share your GoDaddy account information with your designer/coder (unless you open a new account for each website).

Highly reccomend godaddy, I host Real Estate Virtual Assistant there and Personal Trainer | Personal Training Arizona, SEO Tutorial Program | Search Engine Optimization Secrets, Fitness Model Book and actually live here in scottsdale and they offer excellent customers service, a great price, though for first time web hosters there site might be a little challenging to navigate. A downside is that they sell everything seprate and there control panel is nice as other companies out there. Though godaddy offers a great price and tons of bandwith with there packages, even though some of there fetures are a little weak.

I would reccomend them, I like go daddy, not to mention if I ever have a serious problem I can just drive to there office, though there customer service is very helpful and responsive.

GoDaddy has the BEST PRICES and BEST SUPPORT I have ever used.

I have been with 5 other hosting companies.

    FortuneCity.com is the WORST...at everything.

100% agree! Yes, GoDaddy will answer your questions within couple hours or sometimes less than an hour (if you submit it at 3 am in the morning) but so far I found only 1 or 2 experienced csr. Others are offering no help at all!
And what I don't like about GD, just like what shazbot said, they'll make you hard to leave and will keep asking you to buy their additional "useless" features!!

mm.. BEST PRICES? don't think so  I've tried 1and1 and they have waayyy better price than GD and their csr have BETTER knowledge than GD's

I host at godaddy, hostgator, hostlizard, lypha and run my own host.... so I do know a bit about it...

godaddy are VERY good within the limitations of the servce that they provide.. which is essentially microsoft hosting, ie. .asp/.aspx/.net but dont use them for unix hosting as their custom control panel leaves a bit to be desired compared to cPanel
