Anyone ever try buying FB ads? What where your parameters (target audience)? What was your niche? REsults?

I'm looking into paying for FB ads instead of paying 25 cents for 100 FB shares or 100 photo tags. I wonder if the ROI is better with straigh up FB ad buys.

i tried it and that cost bout 10 dollars
you can choose the country restrictions of your desired audience and similar interests , male/female and the time duration , for example you can set it to show to following people :
users from US , who liked digitalpoint and adsense , between 10AM - 10 PM
i don't recommend it for external links , but to collect fans for your facebook page it's absolutely the best , it works superb

I agree with ajomehri from what i've heard it is quite unreliable compared to adsence or adbrite.

I currently have two Facebook ads running. One ad is for a food niche, the other is for a family niche. The food niche is very competitive, while the family niche is relatively cheap. I have both ads pointing to Facebook pages, not to my actual website. My goal is to build up my Facebook fans, and use the Facebook Page for wall marketing.

The ad for the food niche gets about 10-15 fan likes per day, at a maximum spend of $10.00 per day. The ad for the family niche gets about 30 fan likes per day, at a maximum spend of $10.00 per day.

Pricewise, it's more expensive than buying Facebook fans from one of those Facebook marketing sites. But this way you can target your Facebook fans to highly specific niches.

Yes, I've done a LOT with Facebook Ads.

They can be GREAT if you set them up correctly... the key is that you want to use as MUCH of the targeting as possible... definitely want to use the age, location & interests for example.

If you tell me what you're advertising, I can give you more info :)
