Anyone ever successfully implemented Mod_Rewrite on E107?

This is something that has pained me for a long time :p I've found several articles dotted around the web on this one but nothing has ever really worked.

I'm sure that due to the nature of the CMS it's not just a simple .htaccess rewrite but it also needs some adjustments to the php code.

Anyone ever successfully rewritten their e107 URLs?

I'd really like to get rid of the ugly /e107_plugins/ part in the URL especially.

    All help is appreciated, cheers.

Firstly, /e107_plugins/ is a configuration value: you can make the plugin directory name whatever you like from what I can remember.

Secondly, there is a guy at the moment investigating SEF URLs (via mod_rewrite) for e107. I don't have a link on me, but the thread on the e107 forum has been fairly active lately.
