I also got recovered from a possible Google Slay. I just removed Google's Adsense code and it helped my blog to recover. It took 2-3 months to get my previous search engine rankings back.

Many times the things or effects people are experiencing could be rather filters than penalties. For instance, when you take part in some automated reciprocal link building Google already is aware of and by removing the links, the normal situation will be once again had.

I and 1000's other webmaster are hit by penalization, and common thing we all used smart thumbs script. This happened probably because some black hat spammers used st/st.php in their urls and that url is used by smart thumbs script. As a solution,we now working on url rewrite,so url wont be anymore st/st.php etc,it will be more seo friendly, like /bla/bla/bla.So once this fix is applied,i would need to submit reconsideration for each site?Since a lot of mine sites has been affected. And yes i will also check on each site do i need to fix something else too according to google webmaster guidelines.

No,beside there is no sense to discuss about any classic cause of penalization since there is over 1000 sites penalized and they all have different content and type of site organization.

Also smart script just released update which makes url to look like this:
    http://www.bla.com/gallery/description.html?id=116999&url=bla.com&p= 50
IS that now enough seo friendly?

i completely agree with you , i really don't get the logic how this works, if you do some seo 3 days before the new pr update , and get good backlinks , you get a high pr, a high pr that you can easily lose the following month , and ic case you prefer to work with other making money programs that google adsence , you're banned , i have the feeling that if google continues like that , no one will care any more about it :)

Got recovered. The reason is most important - but finding it is not so easy thing to do. When you will change what you have done 'wrong' your penalty will end in a day or two even.

But the things that are going on recently with Google are very very weird. Something be is going to happen or just happened.

To recover from a google penalty, you need to know what went wrong in the first place. An initial thing you can do is cross check everything you've done on your website against google webmaster guidelines. If things are not aligned then you will have to set things straight.

here is the problem , the reason why " i think i got penalised " and the reason why my pr dropped from 2 to 0 is that instead of using google adscence that gives me 2 dollar per month , i use a website that appears to not be so friendly with google, and gives me 200$ per month :) so chose for the PR or the $ i'll have to take a decision :D

I got a -20 penalty (pretty sure, cause i dropped by 20 for all my rankings, some of them were #1).

My site stopped getting traffic (pr3 front pr2 internal at that point).

I completely stopped working on that domain, and concentrated on others.

Now, 4 months later, I all of a sudden see traffic again, as my rankings went back to 1st.

Sure, get rid of the violating stuff and submit a reconsideration request then your website will be just fine ;)
