Anyone ever change their anchor text or category listing in DMOZ after being listed?

I sent an email to them requesting an anchor text changes, and they haven't changed it. It's been a week. Are they good at responding to these types of requests?

    lol, funniest thread all week!

They are not supposed to use anchor text, unless it's you site name. If you've changed your site name, then they may look into it. But if it's simply anchor text, then you are SOL.

They will not change your description either...unless you notice that there is keyword stuffing, in which case they will re-write it to their liking, not yours.

Yep, pretty funny. Forget about it... be glad your listing is in there and focus on anything other than making a change. The editors there are grossly overworked and underpaid. Give em a break and be content.

If you're listed in the wrong category it can be worthwhile getting in touch. I did this after my website grew to include more content, and they moved it a little higher up the category tree. But don't bother doing this unless you really have added a few hundred more unique articles.

Dmoz probably get a lot of requests for anchor text changes, and the majority of them are probably for SEO purposes rather than an actual change in a website's title. If you ask for this, you're wasting your time.

I just felt there was a better anchor text that could have been used, that's all. I guess I'm SOL.

They should be using your site name, which I think was already said. If you have better anchor text then the name of your site, then you may wish to look into changing the name of the site ;)

If there is another site with the same title, then you may have to settle with the tweak, unless it's really that far off. If there is not a site with the same title, and they have changed the anchor text from that of your site name, then you may wish to submit for a change, pointing to the error... though you may wish to just enjoy the listing, lol, as much as it'll help.
