Unless there is a movie that MUST be seen on the big screen and/or in 3D (like Avatar) I really find that the movie going experience is DREADFUL! Loud kids or teenagers who talk through the whole show, people kicking your chair, expensive tickets, even more expensive food - not to mention enduring all of that just to walk out the of the theater unsatisfied paying those prices and dealing with the crowds for a lousy movie... no thanks. Normally I will wait for the DVD/Blu-ray and get it on Netflix, but movie production companies can't be surprised when people would rather pirate films than endure this. If they are surprised, then they get to be poor average people who go to a theater on any given day.
Very true, I prefer watching at home, unless there is a massive blockbuster worth seeing, or 3d movies.
I only go to the theater when there is something I really really really want to see. I don't like people talking through movies when I have paid $8.50+. I also think that the theaters charge way to much for the food. But I can't say no to the delicious popcorn. YUM. If you are going to a kid movie expect their to be loud kids. I love to see movies on the big screen, and movies like Batman or Avatar in the IMAX theaters.
Yeah i still go for a movie to the theater and enjoy a lot there with my friends and having a much of fun.
Definately. There are movies that you must watch in the theatre like "Avatar". Also it feels great munching some popcorns and watching a movie among the crowd.
yes i still go to the movies.... when i'm in asia! when i'm in australia, i don't bother unless it's someone's birthday because it's super expensive. in australia the movies are about $20, but in malaysia it's about RM$6-$12 (about AUD$2-$4) depending on the time and day you go. in thailand it's about THB$100 (or AUD$3). lol
