Anyone else think there's a few over zealous mods here?

I'm just trying to grab a few more opinions. I've been a member here for 3 years and never had a problem. I get a scam PM from an ad a posted in the buy / sell section and I make a post about it there (the buy / sell general forum) warning others and pasting the PM in that thread so hopefully no one get's ripped off.

I then get issued an infraction by a mod for apparently posting in the wrong section in his opinion. Ok, neat, I get in trouble instead of the guy trying to ripoff DP users, nice work captain zealous.

Last night I reply to two separate people, in the thread, one of them being a moderator that was trying to flame me using a horrible metaphor that maybe could have made sense to someone who had just eaten a few pounds of shrooms and I get another infraction for apparently trying to "bump" the thread because I used another stupid metaphor to mock his metaphor.

So, I'm curious, have many people had problems with some of the mods here and are there just a few that are causing the problems and abusing their position? I would like to gather some opinions here before emailing the site owner. Seems like a little trash needs to be taken out.

If you want to report spam PM, why not use report PM in inbox section, instead of complaining about mods you first must read FAQs and rules of forum.if we have provided with report post and PM options to get attention of mods why to create a thread in BST section unnecessarily.
Please understand that the mods job is not to create problems but to make our job easier and keep forum spam free.
help them to help yourself. :)
and you will be surprised to know 90% of people here are happy with moderators and 10% of people are unhappy because they never commit their mistakes.

Break the rules, you get infractions (which includes starting threads to complain about infractions). It's not that difficult of a concept.

Your bumping infraction was because you posted twice within minutes, without someone else posting in between. Either learn to use the multi-quote option or edit your previous post (you have an 8 hour window to do that) instead of posting again so quickly in the same thread.

Post accusations about people (mods or anyone else) again, and it'll be a two point attack infraction next time instead of 1 point for inappropriate posts.

Funny thing of it is that you didn't even have a single "real" infraction until this post. Both of us gave you warnings previously, which carry no points. The fact that you have to repeatedly be told to follow the rules means you can probably expect points moving forward. Two warnings is more than most people get before they start getting points.
