Anyone else noticing higher payout recently?

For the last few days I've noticed Adsense is paying me considerably more per click than they used to (same amount of clicks, 3-4 times the price). Perhaps that's just their quality-score kicking in (I don't click my own ads, so my customers should convert at a higher rate than sites that do cheat the system)? Or, could it be their recent updates have finally hurt the MFA sites - and the added revenue is finally trickling down to the regular sites?

Anyone else noticed anything, or is it just me?

    Cheers.

I've noticed it too. My eCPM has been considerably higher in the past couple of weeks! I thought it was just me. :p

I've seen an increase in revenue, at least an increase in average CPC. It's difficult to say what caused it, but I think the Adwords quality requirements must definitely play a role.

However remember that Adsense fluctuates alot. It can just be that there is high paying advertisers or more advertisers for the niche you are covering. It can also be due to site targeting.

It could be that your content is not relevant or maybe you have very little content. Do you have a lot of links on your page?

No, not really. Its about the same asa it has always been. Of course, there are daily flactuations but you need to assess it over a longer period of time.

Hmmm. Not for me. I have probably the worst paying niche (comedy/humor), and my site's not really targeted at all. Which is why I thought it was weird that I've been earning so much more recently...

    Hopefully it sticks!

Summer will be over after next weekend, perhaps the advertisers are really starting to advertise and increase their budgets for the fall
