Just wondering if anyone has noticed google is taking longer than usual to index new pages on their site? I have an article directory site, and up until about 2 weeks ago new articles were indexed within about 20 minutes, the PR has just went up from PR4 to PR5 at the recent update, so its not like google as devalued the site any or ive dropped in incoming links. I know loads of people are going to come on and say, it can take days for google to index new pages, And i know it can, but im wanting to know if anyone has noticed the same thing so i know if its just my site or if its google in general. It used to take about 5 minutes to index new pages, every time, but now it takes about 5-6 hours. Thanks guys
Over the past few months i've noticed too that indexing time for both new sites and old sites with new material has increased significantly. What's strange, is that bing seems to be updating very fast. This is especially true on my forums. Bing is spidering much deeper and quicker than google is. It'll be interesting to see if this is just a statistical blip, or the start of actual competition amongst the search engines. disclaimer: I hate google
hmmm so its not just me then. Well i hope google pull their socks up. I know 5-6 hours isnt long..... but it is when you consider it was usually within 30 minutes MAX Thanks anyway guys
Mine are indexing as fast as usual, perhaps they are just busier at the moment with the recent PR update
