The toolbar was showing PR 7 for www.eslgo.com and PR 6 for www.jtrotta.com until a few minutes ago. Then they went back to what they were before the update (6 and 5). However a PR checker still shows 7 and 6, so I'm guessing there's just some toolbar weirdness going on. Anyone else see this?
http://www.top25web.com/pagerank.php gave me some comfort by showing me the updated PR - does it work for you?
Forget about that thing, use this one http://www.seochat.com/seo-tools/future-pagerank toolbarqueries.google.com datacenter seems to be sending the old PR
im still seeing a new pr for my site using toolbar .. however i can see that 2 DC are still showing my old pr
I have the same trouble - although my crap froum has gone from 0-2 today As fryman (helmet head) said wtf is going on???????
my coop weight dropped to PR 5 levels for a few mins, then went back to my pr 6 levels. somethings up. Might be just some adjustments in the api.
Looking at seo chat tool I have 3 data centres showing weird results, but for 3 sites the weird results are on different data centres
i had 3 domains going from PR 0 to PR 4 in this last update.....just checked cause this thread got me worried....they are still PR 4.....so they didnt revert in my case
Looks like a big mess, I guess the new PR is still propagating, all my domains show different PRs on different datacenters. One of them shows new PR on the toolbarqueries DC and I see the new PR on my toolbar (showing old PR a few minutes ago), so I guess this is a false alarm and we just need to wait a few hours for everything to settle down. Damn, that scared the sh*it out of me! All my hard work down the drain...
My toolbar at least is back to normal I like looking at my new PR 7. Kind of the modern day Narcissus or something
Also I have noticed that my backlinks have changed every day over the past 3 days!!! getting more and more, not regressing to januery or feb (YET!!!!!)
Ironically, the datacenters I am seeing right now showing the "OLD" PR info, are THE SAME Datacenters that displayed the January Backlinks Results all the way up until April 22! 216.239.53.* 216.239.57.* if this has anything to do with a problem with these banks of servers, then keep an eye on 66.102.7.* bank as well because those have also been problematic since the Feb 2 Update. NOTE: The Datacenters I mentioned above made several attempts to Update to the "new" Backlink results but usually reverted back again within hours. Currently, I see ALL Datacenters showing the April 22 Backlink Update. Caryl
Here is a "TIP" for anyone who wants to "fix" their Google Toolbar... How to point your Google Toolbar to a Specific Datacenter for Updated PR Reporting: If you would like to view the updated PR values on your Google Toolbar you can do so by pointing the Toolbar to one of the updated datacenters. To do that... - Go to Windows Explorer on your Computer. - Go to C:\WINDOWS and look for a file named HOSTS (no extension - Not Host.SAM) - Right mouse click on the file and select Open with - select Notepad - Add this line of code - 216.239.39.99 toolbarqueries.google.com if toolbarqueries.google.com is already present just modify the IP address to 216.239.39.99 (or you can use any of the 19 IP addresses of the datacenters that have already updated) - Save and close the file. - Now close Internet Explorer and re-open it! Your Google Toolbar will now query the Google Datacenter 216.239.39.99 which is one of the Datacenters already updated. This Tip is from my article "About Google Datacenters" Caryl
Here's what I've seen over the past 12 hours. First, when the PR/BL update was reported I noticed both of my sites had lost some BL's, and their homepage PR stayed the same. The internal pages, however, all gained PR. (Equal to the homepage PR, never higher, and sometimes 3 levels deep into the site.) Last nite (around Midnight EST) I noticed the toolbar was grey for all sites, not just mine. Woke up this morning, and realized there are still 4 DC's not updated for my sites. Checked my rankings via KW Tracker, and realized I've jumped in some of my more difficult keywords by 10-20 ranks, putting me on the first page for the first time for these keywords, with less backlinks. I'm still charting it all, but hopefully I'll be able to determine what caused the changes, since I've been very systematic about my changes this round. DS
