Just logged in to my webmaster tools account, and I see that there have been a number of changes. 1) Under sitemaps, there used to be more options. I think they had a dropdown list of a few different types of sitemaps that were able to be submitted. I don't see it there now. 2) Under tools, it seems to be missing a few options too. Most notably, there's no "set crawl rate" option anymore. Am I the only one seeing this or has it happened to everyone?
I think some of them have been moved to the "settings" tab. Just read a post of Google Webmaster Central Blog. I cannot post a link yet so you will have to look for it mate.
You're right, they've moved some of the options from "tools" to "settings", such as geographical target and crawl rate. But the sitemap uploader has totally changed, I don't see where you can select what kind of sitemap to upload anymore. I'll look through the Google Webmaster's Blog and post here if I find any relevant info.
Here's the link to the post from Google about the changes that were amde today: http://googlewebmastercentral.blogspot.com/2008/12/one-place-for-changing-your-sites.html Still not sure what happened to the sitemap options.
The options that sitemaps used to have are not there any more. I checked under details and still can't find where to choose what kind of sitemap to upload.
