Anyone else notice a CTR spike today?

    I noticed a CTR spike today.... earnings and CTR both quadrupled.... certainly not legitimate. I thought a click-bomb but two things seemed off...

    CPC was also 3 times as high. How would a clickbomber know what ads were high paying? You'd expect a clickbomb to produce a lower CPC....

    I removed ads that were getting high clicks, and they are still accumulating clicks... what the?

    Anyone else notice this or at least have an explanation?

    Yeah ,It's happened today with many publishers including me. Seems an Adsense Bug.

    All I know is I'm on my way to a life of luxury. Two days and at $300 already.
    I should quit my job tomorrow and make a quick stop to the travel agent.

    I once heard a story about a woman who ran a coupon site, with Adsense alongside.

    One day, Dunkin Donuts ran a free coffee coupon via Adsense

    She ended up making 5 figures that one day alone.

    Maybe a new advertiser joined the network and matched your visitors perfectly?

    It was because of Google Mobile updates taking effect. Higher CTR and earnings are the result of mobile which tend to pay more money per click.
